Serah Kaiel, Directress

Serah’s childhood education in Portland, Oregon occurred in Montessori schools where her mother was a teacher. Serah attended Portland State University, majoring in Psychology and minoring in International Studies. She also holds two Montessori certifications from North American Montessori Center in Early Childhood Education. One for children from Birth to 3 years, and another for children 3 to 6 years of age. She began teaching in Montessori playgroups and preschool classes in 2007 and has taught in small Montessori preschool cooperatives in Brooklyn for the past 15+ years.

Rachel Woelfel, Primary Assistant Guide

Rachel Woelfel graduated from Stony Brook University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in both Studio Art and Art History with minor studies in Media and Gender Studies. She specializes in drawing, painting, and ceramics. Along with studying psychology, she teaches a children’s ceramics class in her free time.

Rachel Weber, Lead Guide

Rachel Weber graduated from Ohio University with a BA in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. She spent the next three years working as a Pre-Primary Assistant Teacher and Social Justice Educator at Central Montessori Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has a passion for Montessori education and is happy to be exploring that passion at Little Thinkers. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys writing, cooking, seeing Broadway shows, and bonding with her cat, Simba.

LTM offers Yoga, Dance, Music and Movement, Instruments, Gardening, Art, Spanish, Park Explorers and more!

Summer Camp

LTM offers a Summer Program in July and August: children work in the Outdoor Classroom, in the Garden, learn Science in the Natural World, along with Music, Yoga, and Art.

Before School

We offer Early Drop off between 8-9 am and provide Breakfast and a rich Montessori Environment to explore.
